The
1 Thing You (& Those You Care For) Must
Do Before You Can Possibly Hope To
Escape.
Awhile back I had the chance
to talk with a woman who survived a knife attack
inside in her home. I asked her, "Would you share with me
the most important skills you used to stop this guy?"
She squinted her eyes and said, "I can’t
remember what I did, but I know what I thought about. I saw
my five-year-old daughter going through life without me.
It was a like a dream in my head. I was in the clouds looking down
at her."
"I watched her grow up,
graduate from college, get married, play with her kids, all without
me, and that's when I did whatever it took to escape." (One
thing she did to block the knife was she ripped off a toilet
seat lid to use as a shield - :)
That's when I realized our compelling
thoughts (along with spontaneous breathing) not so much
fancy techniques shatter the "freeze of fear" and motivate us to do
acts of courage and strength we've never dreamed possible.
"Word of mouth" is
the only way we can afford to help people.
Not sure if this makes sense for a company, organization, school,
church or any group you know about, but thought it might.
If it does...
